In simple words

Help for Scheduled Caste and Neo-Buddhist farmers to get permanent irrigation. You get a subsidy for a new well, well repair, farm pond lining, drip or sprinkler irrigation.

What you may get

Only one of these: new well Rs 2,50,000, old well repair Rs 50,000, or plastic lining of a farm pond Rs 1,00,000. Extra components: electricity connection Rs 10,000, drip irrigation Rs 50,000 or sprinkler Rs 25,000, pump set Rs 20,000, PVC pipe Rs 30,000.

Who it is for

Scheduled Caste and Neo-Buddhist farmers in Maharashtra who own farmland and meet the land and income limits.

Main eligibility conditions

• Scheduled Caste or Neo-Buddhist farmer with a caste certificate.
• Own land: at least 0.40 hectare for a new well, at least 0.20 hectare for other components, up to 6 hectares.
• Annual income up to Rs 1,50,000 as stated on the district scheme page.
• Aadhaar linked bank account in your own name.

Conditions we could not check

• Land in the farmer's own name: at least 0.40 hectare for a new well and at least 0.20 hectare for the other components, up to 6 hectares.
• Annual income limit, stated as Rs 1,50,000 on the district scheme page. Confirm the current limit with the Agriculture Officer.
• Aadhaar linked bank account in the farmer's own name.
• Only one component can be taken.

How to apply

1. Register on the MahaDBT portal and choose the Farmer Schemes option.
2. Select this scheme and the one component you want, then upload the documents.
3. You can also ask the Agriculture Officer at your Panchayat Samiti for help with the application.
