What you may get

For individual or group activities, government assistance may be up to 40% of the unit cost for the general category and 60% for SC, ST and women. Under the fish ban or lean period activity, Rs 3,000 per year per enrolled fisher family may be given, and the fisher pays Rs 1,500 towards it.

Fishers, fish farmers, fish workers, fish vendors, fisheries SHGs, cooperatives and entrepreneurs.

Main eligibility conditions

• Support depends on the activity chosen and the State or UT plan.
• For the fish ban relief, the family should be a socio-economically backward, active traditional fisher family.
