National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies (UGC)

In simple words

UGC gives scholarships on merit to students in the first year of their first full-time postgraduate degree.

What you may get

Rs 15,000 per month for 10 months a year, for two years. 10,000 scholarships are available, and 30 percent of slots are kept for women.

Who it is for

Students below 30 years admitted to the first year of a first regular PG degree at an eligible institution.

Main eligibility conditions

• First postgraduate degree only.
• Regular full-time mode, not distance or part-time.
• Age below 30 on the date of admission.
• Selection is on all India merit.
