What does this GR say?

This GR makes it easier to apply and explains who fills in applications and how the final list is checked. It defines a family and accepts more kinds of papers.

Main points

• A family means husband, wife and their unmarried sons and daughters.
• A newly married woman with a marriage registration certificate can use her husband's ration card as income proof.
• If a woman born in another state married a man who lives in Maharashtra, her husband's birth certificate, school leaving certificate or domicile certificate is accepted. His 15 year old ration card and voter card are also accepted.
• A post office bank account can be used.
• For an offline application, a photo of the woman's photo can be used to file the online application.
• Anganwadi and Balwadi workers, NULM community organisers, ASHA workers, Setu centres and Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendras can fill in applications.
• Women who already get benefits from schemes like PM-KISAN, POSHAN, MGNREGS, PM-Svanidhi, JSY or PMMVY and fit the rules only need to give an offline application, because their KYC is already done.
• A village committee (Gram Sevak convener, Anganwadi worker secretary) holds camps. The final list is read out at the village chavdi every Saturday and displayed at the Gram Panchayat and Anganwadi. Objections must be looked into and duplicates avoided.
• Ward level committees are formed in all municipal corporations. The Rs 50 payment per successful entry goes to the workers who enter applications.
