Who it is for
Women of Maharashtra aged 21 to 65 who are married, widowed, divorced, abandoned or destitute, or the one unmarried woman in a family, with a family income of up to Rs 2,50,000 a year.
Main eligibility conditions
- Woman living in Maharashtra, aged 21 to 65 years.
- Married, widowed, divorced, abandoned or destitute woman, or one unmarried woman in the family.
- Annual family income not above Rs 2,50,000. Families with a yellow or saffron ration card do not need an income certificate.
- Own bank account linked with Aadhaar. A post office account can also be used.
Conditions we could not check
- The GRs of June and July 2024 set the rules. Check the official portal to see whether new applications are open now, because the GR of 3 July 2024 gave 31 August 2024 as the last date.
- Not eligible: a family with an income tax payer, a regular government employee or pensioner, a present or past MP or MLA, or a four wheeler (a tractor is not counted). A woman who already gets Rs 1,500 or more a month from another department's money scheme is also not eligible.

How to apply
- Apply online on the official portal, ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in.
- You can also get help to fill the application from your Anganwadi worker, an Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra or a Setu centre.
- Village and ward committees check the application. The district Women and Child Development officer sends it on and a committee under the Collector gives the final approval.
- The final list is read out at the village chavdi and shown at the Gram Panchayat and Anganwadi. You can object if your name is wrongly left out.
